With the holidays rolling right around the corner, I figured I would follow up on last year’s holiday post and create another “ultimate gift guide” for the natural beauties in your life. Sweet dreams aren’t far away with this lightly scented relaxing balm. I’ve been using this one to help me combat jet lag for the past year, and I have to say it’s one of my favourites. While it won’t stop you from waking up at the crack of dawn when you’re on a nine hour time different (I speak from experience), it is truly relaxing and helps you get back to counting sheep, just a little bit faster. Holiday Tools for the Non-Toxic Belle
She can (almost) never have enough beauty tools, so pick up this season’s must have beauty tools for someone special (you know, you are special too ;-)

One of my earliest posts was on this beautiful tool – making bambi-eyes out of even the most stubbornly straight eye lashes. I won’t go into too much detail now, as you can read about my rave here. Shop online for $20 USD.

3. The Pure Beauty Blender
The PureBeauty Blender is the same great beauty blender you’ve heard about for the past few years – latex free, and doesn’t lift makeup off when covering under eye circles & spots – but this one is a little less toxic. 4. Haut Cosmetics Vegan Taklon Brushes
Some of the most effective, gentle (and best-named) vegan brushes will be found on Haut Cosmetic’s website. I used the “need a lift” brush – perfect for applying under eye concealer flawlessly – as well as the “a fresh start” for perfect BB cream and foundation application. While this might not be a “tool” per say (more of a product), I think of this as my “highlighting tool”. Natural Lip Product Lovers
Nothing fits in a stocking better than a natural lip product (ok, I can think of a few things that do – a foot, namely – but let’s go with this analogy for now). It is no secret around these parts that I am a fan of natural lip products from far and near. Here are a few of my holiday faves that will keep your pucker pretty even after a trip under the mistletoe (reapplication may be necessary ;)
1. Bite Beauty Food Grade Plumping Lip Oil
Looking for that pouty pucker this holiday season? Pick up one of BITE Beauty’s “hot” lip products. The resveratrol (from red wine polyphenol) & Polygonum cuspidatum (a large herby plant) act to plump your lips by driving blood flow to them. Don’t be surprised if this peppermint-scented lip oil sends your lips a ‘tingling (written to the tune of “Here we come a Caroling”). With a blend of castor seed, argan and olive oils, your lips will feel smooth as ever, while the peppermint & cinnamon bring a nice red flush and plump to the lips. I love that it’s created with food grade ingredients, so there is no harm in this one making its way into your eggnog latte (made without eggs, and with almond milk, of course!). For the luxury beauty in your life, pick up the gorgeous packaged Kjaer Weis organic lip tints. They come in a selection of beautiful colours, but my current love interest is Bliss Full. The products are made in Italy, and packaged in beautiful & luxurious tins. Makeup artist and creator Kristen Kjaer Weis formulated these beautiful lip tints to go on with buildable colour. 3. Red Apple Lipstick in Sugar Sugar
Free from all the nasties (of course), but also free of gluten and soy, Red Apple lipsticks are beautifully vibrant and nourishing all at the same time. With too many colours to choose from, shopping at Red Apple is great for those who love to “try ’em all”. I’m particularly fond of “Sugar Sugar“, which is referred to as a “mod pink” reminiscent of the 1960s. While it may not be your typical holiday colour, it certainly pairs well with a pretty pink flushed cheek and some organic rosé. 4. Ilia Lipstick in Wild Child
A high impact Merry Christmas is what this beautiful lip stick says. Ilia’s 85% organic ingredients combine to create great buildable colour. Organic castor seed oil, organic sesame seed oil, organic jojoba seed oil, organic sunflower seed oil, organic beeswax all combine to leave your lips feeling lovely, which also helps to avoid colour “feathering”. The colour may look shocking out of the tube at first, but even a fair skinned gal like me can get away with a few coats. For those that want an extra colour punch, just apply a few more layers.
