Luxury Dry Oil for Body – Sanoflore Huile Des Delices Review

There’s one thing that has always bothered me a little with regard to organic make up and natural products – they often brand themselves like hippies. Green here and there and unattractive brown packaging. While green is good and recycled paper for packaging is great too, there needs to be a little room for luxury. Sometimes you just want to feel a little fancy, right? Why can’t you be fancy AND natural? Well, leave it to the French to say “you can!”

Sanoflore Huile Des Delices is a treat. It is a dry body oil, perfect for locking in your skin’s natural moisture, while leaving a beautiful sheen (not shine) to your skin. The ingredients are from 100% natural origin, although there are a few things in there like alcohol that can cause allergic reactions to some. But, it is free of parabens, mineral oils and synthetic fragrances, making it all the more lovely.

The main miracle worker in the Huile Des Delices is the gamma linolenic acid. This essential fatty acid not synthesized by the skin, has major antioxidant power and helps to keep the skin nice and elastic. There is also some anti-aging Vitamin E in there to boot.  It absorbs quickly, hence the “dry oil” name, so it won’t get all over your clothes, and it leaves your skin feeling like a satin pillow.  The smell is Mediterranean-esque, with fruits and flowers and some pretty hints of Jasmine and my favourite, ylang-ylang.

Sanoflore’s Huile des Delices retails for about $20 CAD for a 125 ml bottle.
